I'm Still Here

Sculpture at Scenic World, NSW, 2012

When we try to pick out anything by itself we find that it is bound fast by a thousand invisible cords that cannot be broken, to everything in the universe…*

I'm Still Here examines patterns embedded within nature and the human body, their connections, and subjective realities. Some of the trees in the Blue Mountains tell tales over 500 years old, layer upon layer of memories, wisdom and mythology.

*John Muir wrote in his journal for July 27, 1869.

All images are hand cut avocado leaves, copper electroformed.
