On collaboration, consumption & care is the first creative development presentation of a multi-year project by South Australian visual artists Heidi Kenyon and Henry Wolff. The project is inspired by historical practices that utilise plants to invoke spiritual awakenings as a way of decentring the human and opening up diverse ways of knowing and being in the world. As part of this work, Henry and Heidi will examine how care as a methodology brings us closer to nature, and the nature of home, in a discussion with acclaimed author and plant studies researcher Prue Gibson. They will also explore the meditative qualities of Australian-grown cacao, and present initial artefacts including sound and photographic works that offer insights into the early stages of their collaboration.
